Roundabouts, Roundabouts – where will they lead?
Mayhap to Altringham, or on to Runnymead.

With rings on her fingers and churches nearby,
Time hath come to away from you fly.

Badgers to this, and clungeflaps to that
My arctic circle often talks with your cat.

Only in Birmingham will the forsaken lie,
Before the fight LANtastic, crosses the darkening sky.

MY SECRET MESSAGE TO THE WORLD [PART ONE]

Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart didn’t get to where he is today by knitting designer swimwear.
Neither did Beethoven.

Cake Cake Cake: It’s all about the Cake!
Bishops and Wizards do so at the lake.

Armitage Shanks. The Legend of She.
Japanese fish in the world’s only sea.

Contrary to popular tales of woe,
This shark’s craving’s for a children’s show.

Mayhap I’m crazy, or talking to walls;
All I can see, are marble-decked halls.

Cake Cake Cake: unbridled with joy.
If only my cateracts didn’t beefeaters employ.

MY SECRET MESSAGE TO THE WORLD [PART TWO]

What we say in life, echoes in large caves.

-

And as the dying embers of a once blazing sky,
Fades to blue, then black, once more;
It is ours to reason why, amongst our good selves;
Why we gathered, and – indeed – what for.

‘Neath trees of chestnut, we shared our meal,
Despite grapes all shrouded in bread;
To unnecessarily quote Red Dwarf for the rhyme -
“He’s dead Dave: He’s dead.”

Outflanked by pigeons, we devoured our breadsticks,
Potato salad and crumbly apple pies.
Befriended by a squirrel, as we all used kvltlery for nibbles,
We endured inevitable crotch flies.

Yet with Alf off to work, and Andy in pain,
Our numbers dwindled, as did the hours.
Though as Norrington irrelevantly proclaimed in Pirates One:
“Gentlemen, the ship is ours!”

We bade farewell to the Elvenking at Green Park,
Before six did at Victoria remain.
Two foolhardy men of the North left by coach;
The rest – like swans! – took the train.

But as you recall this day – our first Gothnic of many -
A picnic of harmonious accord:
Do not sleep too soundly, my friends I advise;
For lo! The robot ducks are abroad!
